How Do You Know Whether You Have A Food Intolerance?

It might be a Food Intolerance

Do you feel you are so fatigued that it’s impossible for you to get up in the morning and leave your bed?

Or is it that you are always irritable?

Or perhaps sometimes you’re a bit bloated and a little crampy or you get heartburn soon after you have eaten?

Do you experience headaches, brain fog, lack of focus, mood swings or depression?

If you are experiencing even one of the above symptoms, then you might have a food intolerance!

There is not enough statistical data on how many people are intolerant to food simply because the number of people who have food intolerance and don’t get tested is too high and also because the type of food can vary considerably from person to person. Before I go on to explaining what food intolerance is, I first want to clarify that food intolerance is different than a food allergy.

Food allergy is a sudden reaction to food. If you are allergic to a certain type of food then even a small quantity may trigger a reaction in your body which can be fatal if not treated. A food allergy happens when your immune system mistakes something in food as harmful and attacks it.

Whereas, a food intolerance is totally different.

It usually comes on gradually, will only happen if you eat a lot of that food or you eat that certain food too much. Symptoms include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, fatigue, and vomiting.

Some foods that are really popular in causing intolerance arepeanuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds, soy, wheat, gluten, egg whites and fish/shellfish and if you are intolerant to foods containing sulphites then that might even trigger an asthma attack.

A food intolerance disturbs the whole chemistry of your body and even the whole Autonomic nervous system.

The system that deals with our digestion is called the Parasympathetic nervous system and if that is elevated because of an ongoing food intolerance then it will pull down the other nervous system that is the Sympathetic nervous system.

You might not have any symptoms and you might be completely unaware, but the truth is if left untreated it can cause serious health issues simply because food intolerance can lead to a build up of inflammation in your body.

Once that happens and you don’t take care of it, your body just adapts to it and thinks that it is normal when in fact it isn’t and this then starts disturbing all the other organs/functions including your fertility as it disturbs the harmony of your body!

Now the question is how will you know if you have an ongoing issue similar to that?

Answer is you can’t because you don’t really have any obvious signs or symptoms and you generally feel healthy. The good news is we can help you find all these answers here at www.healthoptimizing.ie. The first part of our full health assessment can provide you with all the information you need about not only your autonomic nervous system but your health in general. The second step of the assessment is scanning different organs of your body to help identify if there is a pathogenic invasion that might be causing more distress and disturbance in your body (you certainly don’t want any parasitic infestation or a bacterial/viral invasion if your body is already dealing with an issue).

Because food intolerance is a very slow process your body just adapts to it and you might not even remember how you used to feel before it all started.

We can help you feel better again and we can bring those energy levels back that you once had!

OUR VALUES

Everything we do, we believe in supporting the body in its innate wisdom to heal itself to homeostasis. We believe in thinking differently and seeing the body as a whole. Our philosophy is similar to traditional medicine as we treat the root cause. We remove the dysfunctions and then stimulate the body’s own self healing, self regulating mechanisms more specifically by triggering those mechanisms using technologies. This way gives fast results. The way we challenge the status quo is by seeking out leading edge medical technologies for both health assessment and for natural treatments. The future of health technologies are here today.
